One of the most important aspects of being a yoga teacher is caring for the safety and well-being of your students.
Encourage Communication
It’s a good idea to ask your students before class gets underway if anyone is dealing with any injuries, or to have a quiet conversation with you once class is underway.
Provide Modificiations
Any great yoga teacher will provide a range of options and modifications for any asana, especially if it’s a more advanced posture.
Keep a Watchful Eye
If you notice that a student is on the brink of an injury or is in a dangerous position, gently approach them to give them a modification or to help ease them back into safety.
Keep it Light!
As you learned in your Vancouver yoga teacher training class, there are many responsibilities that come along with being a guru.
